Banham Zoo - Editorial

Voted Norfolk Top Family Attraction for 2001

Enjoy the ultimate fun filled day out at one of the most exciting wildlife attractions in the country, recently awarded 5 Stars for quality by a Which report? Our wildlife spectacular will take you on a journey around the globe to experience at close quarters some of the worlds most exotic, rare and endangered animals.

Set amongst 35 acres of beautiful Breckland countryside and magnificent landscaped gardens, you will discover hundreds of animals ranging from big cats to birds of prey and siamangs to shire horses. Don’t miss the daily feeding talks and displays!

What will you do today?

Banham Zoo is dedicated to enrichment for all its animals. Throughout the year our staff strive to provide them with the highest standards of habitat. We are confident you will appreciate the exciting developments and changes being implemented at the zoo each year.

Tiger Territory - A purpose built 2-acre enclosure for our Siberian tigers is believed to be the largest of its kind in the UK. At a cost of over £120,000 it includes their own rock pool and woodland setting.

Marmoset Island - Home to two families of tamarins and marmosets. It is one of the latest additions to the zoo, portraying the very essence of utilising natural materials to create an exciting and enriched environment.

Farm Barn - The first stop for most of our families to see the cute, cuddly and furry animals in our children’s farm barn. Rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, pigs and a rat room are just some of the encounters waiting for you.

If the size of the zoo sounds a little daunting, try the Safari Roadtrain with its fascinating live commentary as it twists and turns through the very heart of the zoo. There really is something for all the family at Banham Zoo - so what will you do today?
